Being able to capture moments like these of my lit Being able to capture moments like these of my little boy is really keeping me going at the moment. Not being able to work and create beautiful family portraits is slowly eating away at me.

So I’m going to use this time for more personal projects to keep me ticking over and stop me getting rusty 😂

We had a great day yesterday. The presents, the cake, the afternoon game of musical statues ( which I had no idea Dexter knew how to play but apparently preschool taught him 🙌🏼) and just being in our little family bubble was absolute perfection. Birthdays in lockdown aren’t the same but Dexter had a blast and that’s the main thing. Here’s to 3 years old!
Happy birthday to our beautiful little boy! I can’t believe we have a 3 year old! When people say time goes fast, they really aren’t kidding.

You’re cheeky, funny and so much more affectionate than I could have ever imagined.

I love it when you ask me to sing the sunshine song (you are my sunshine) & you sing it with me whilst we cuddle up together. This is my absolute favourite thing we share together. You’re a mummy’s boy through and through and I’ve never loved anyone more. You, little one, are my sunshine, my world & forever my baby.

Have a very special day! 🧡
An oldie but a goodie. I can’t believe I’ve no An oldie but a goodie. I can’t believe I’ve not shared these images before?! I was scrolling earlier and realised this session is nowhere to be seen. Shock.

Anyway, I love at home sessions almost as much as photographing newborns outside and this one with @emmashepp_x was beautiful. Seems like ages ago now though 🤯

In case you didn’t know, I am still taking bookings for sessions. I know we are in lockdown but you can still come say hi and chat with me about your family photos. I’ll just be over here twiddling my thumbs... 🌚

I used to avoid shooting in dark venues/houses/loc I used to avoid shooting in dark venues/houses/locations when I first started photography because I didn’t understand how to utilise the available light. To say it scared me is an understatement.

I experimented a lot with film a few years back and loved how it looked when overexposed. But over the years my style has developed and changed and I’m drawn more towards slightly moodier edits and so darker houses such as this one are perfect.

One of my goals for 2021 is to experiment more with indoor lighting like this to create moodier more dramatic portraits. Especially with motherhood sessions as these are my absolute favourite.

You don’t have to ‘find your style’ and stick with it. You’re essentially an artist who is always changing, developing, CREATING new things. It’s okay to keep evolving with time.

It’s 7:50pm and I’ve just climbed into bed! I’m so tired today and I have a massive headache that started this afternoon. Urgh.

I hope your first day of lockdown wasn’t too bad and you managed to get outside. The sun was actually warm today as me and Dexter played in the garden and I had a little reminder of the good days yet to come. Only 2 months to get through & we will be heading into my favourite time of the year 🙌🏼

Anyway, this beautiful outdoor newborn session is now up on my blog so feel free to go check it out. As always, your support through this time is hugely appreciated so if you have any pregnant friends who you think might like to book in for a newborn shoot, I’ll be over here ready to say hi 🙋🏻‍♀️
Well it looks like I’ll be posting old sessions Well it looks like I’ll be posting old sessions for a while then guys. I mean, it’s not like I’ll run out of images to share as I have thousands that are yet to make it to the grid but my heart is heavy to know we are here once again.

Of course we all knew it was coming but I for one am feeling a little more anxious this time round. It’s cold, it’s dark, we can’t get out as much, & January is the toughest month of the year as it is.

I’m going to try my hardest to not let this derail me. I had my best year to date in 2020 and there’s no reason I can’t repeat that process this year and continue to do what I love most.

Your family’s story still deserves to be told and I’m determined to be the one to tell it.

We’ve got this guys! Stay strong! 🙌🏼

No wise words from me as we leave behind 2020, jus No wise words from me as we leave behind 2020, just a massive thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single person/family who booked in with me this year and supported my business. With your help, I’ve not only stayed afloat through one of the toughest years we’ve ever seen, but I’ve actually had my best year to date. My mind is blown.

I don’t know what next year holds for us all but if you’re running a business let’s take a little lesson from my top nine liked photos...
Show your face!! People love to see the person behind the squares and I think 2021 I’ll definitely be making it a goal of mine to show up on my grid a little more.

Happy New Year guys. We got this 🙌🏼
I feel like I have the least Christmassy grid on I I feel like I have the least Christmassy grid on Instagram and although I had big plans to take pictures with my actual camera this year, it just didn’t happen. So yes, this is an iPhone image and yes it will look totally out of place on my grid but I really love this picture of me and my boy. Also, I kept the jacket guys & I have zero regrets 😏
