Capturing your baby in the first few weeks of their lives is one of my favourite things to do. Not everyone is keen on posed, studio style newborn photography, which is why I also offer at home sessions and outdoor newborn sessions. Both of which are a little more relaxed and often work better if you have an older child too who you’d like to include in the session. If however, you prefer a studio setup, you can take a look at my studio page for more info on this. 

Ideally newborns need to be photographed between 6-14 days old as during this time they tend to sleep more soundly and are easier to wrap/swaddle. I recommend booking your session whilst you are pregnant and we will use your due date as a rough date for the session.

Photographing tiny newborns outdoors in nature is my absolute favourite & this year, due to Covid, most of my newborn sessions were shot amongst beautiful landscapes featuring gorgeous sunsets.


Having your new baby photographed in the comfort of your own home may suit you better if you prefer natural lifestyle images. At home sessions capture you and your family in the familiarity of your own setting, which for some new parents is more of an appealing option.
