We’re awkward in front of the camera. Can you help?
Absolutely. Around 95% of my couples tell me they’re awkward in front of the camera. My approach is relaxed and natural, starting off with something very simple like walking together without looking at me. I’ll guide you gently throughout this part of the day so you never feel like you’re performing for the camera.
What makes you different from other wedding photographers?
I’ve photographed around 300 weddings over the years, and that experience means you can relax knowing your day is in safe hands.
Weddings rarely go exactly to plan. Timelines run late, the weather changes without warning, family dynamics can be complicated and some of the most meaningful moments happen when nobody expects them. Having photographed so many weddings, I’ve seen just about everything and know how to adapt quickly without adding stress to your day. More importantly, I know what matters. The obvious moments like your first kiss and first dance are important, but so are the fleeting moments in between; the look from a parent during the ceremony, a grandparent wiping away a tear, or the way your partner looks at you when they think nobody is watching.
My job is to anticipate those moments before they happen, not react to them afterwards.
By the time your wedding day arrives, you shouldn’t be worrying about whether your photographer is in the right place at the right time. You should be focused on celebrating with the people you love, confident that every important moment is being captured.
How would you describe your photography style?
I am predominantly a documentary wedding photographer, which in essence means I aim to capture the day as it happens. There are aspects of a wedding day that need a little bit of direction from me and these include moments like, putting your dress on, group shots and couple portraits.
How many photos will we receive?
This depends on your package but most couples tend to book my Deluxe package and this will include around 500-600 images. If you book a second photographer for the day, this can often be more.
Have you photographed at our venue before?
Every venue is different, and I always arrive with fresh eyes. Great light and genuine moments matter far more than previous venue experience.
Will you help us with our timeline?
