A Rainy Day Wedding At Larmer Tree Gardens
As a Wiltshire documentary wedding photographer, I often tell couples that the weather is just another element of their story, and Ella and Dann’s day at Larmer Tree Gardens was the perfect example. Their outdoor ceremony was everything they dreamed of, even as the rain began the moment Ella walked down the aisle. Far from being a problem, the rain added a sense of intimacy and magic that I couldn’t have captured on a sunny day.

One of the highlights for me was the music. Ella and Dann chose songs from The Lumineers for their walk down the aisle and their first dance. Capturing Authentic Moments in Any Weather
Throughout the day, we found ourselves darting under trees for cover during group shots, everyone (including me) huddled under clear umbrellas until the sun peeked out again. The unpredictable joy of a UK summer wedding! These little moments also gave me the perfect chance to capture guests naturally, unaware of the camera, something I love doing as a documentary wedding photographer.
