An autumn wedding at Highley Manor
Since shooting this autumn wedding and sharing it over on instagram, I’ve had so many couples contact me about their wedding photography at Highley Manor. And even though it’s not a local venue for me, I am so excited to get back there. However, I do have a bit of a wait as so far the couples who’ve booked me for their wedding photography aren’t getting married till 2024!
Anyway, Emily and Rory had such a beautiful autumn wedding at Highley Manor. Despite it being the end of October and a little chilly, they were actually blessed with a gorgeous sunset that we took full advantage of! The grounds at Highley Manor are amazing and perfect for couple portraits. By the time group shots were done I had about 15 minutes to capture them alone but it was all we needed. They were complete naturals and made my job super easy.

I know there are some changes being made to the venue over the next year and Emily and Rory were one of the last couples to get married there before the renovations started. The new bridal prep room was lovely and spacious & very modern but in my opinion, as a photographer, I preferred the bridal suite for taking photos. I moved the dress and all of Emily’s details up there as it’s just a nicer room light wise. I hope you will agree!
Emily did most of the wedding herself and I think she did a great job with all the lovely foliage and flowers scattered around the venue. I love how well the dark wood works with Emily’s colour scheme. These two ended their night with a bang and choose to have a confetti canon set off by Emily’s bridesmaids, which looked amazing in the photos.
I’m excited to get back to this gorgeous venue again and to see what changes they have made to the place!
