A Rustic autumn wedding at Syrencot House
Nestled in the Wiltshire countryside, Syrencot House offers a romantic blend of history, elegance, and charm, making it the perfect venue for a rustic autumn wedding filled with personal touches and seasonal beauty. Back in September, this beautiful venue played host to a truly breath taking celebration— the wedding of Amy & Lee featuring the most gorgeous warm tones, and the heartwarming presence of two very special guests: the bride’s beloved horses, Mon & Pie.
Amy & Lee contacted me after we met at their friend Polly’s wedding, which I shot back in 2022 at Chalk Barn. Amy was a bridesmaid and shortly after the wedding, she got in touch to say she also wanted me to capture their wedding day. From the moment Amy started telling me about the plans she had for their day, I knew it was going to be one to remember. The Orangery at Syrencot looked truly amazing during the ceremony, decorated with a huge floral arch with red, orange and green tones. The bridesmaids dresses were burnt orange and were the perfect colour choice for this rustic autumn wedding.
A Bridal vision with an Equestrian Twist
After the ceremony, the horses arrived, groomed to perfection. Their presence was not only a nod to Amy’s passion but also a unique and touching addition that delighted guests (and me!) and created breathtaking photo opportunities. For someone who grew up with horses and later worked at a riding stables, I think I was more excited about Mon & Pie’s arrival than I was of anything else that day! Oh and did I mention they also brought their dog along too? My two favourite animals at one wedding!
The rest of their day was filled with so much laughter. Both Amy & Lee spent the day grinning from ear to ear as they mingled with friends and family. My favourite moment was definitely Amy & Lee’s entrance to the wedding breakfast, as they came in dancing to Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac. Everyone in the room were on their feet dancing and it was one of those moments where I felt so lucky to be able to call this my job.
Thank you to Amy & Lee for being one of the nicest couples to work with and for choosing me to capture the day!
